I never knew there was a National Red Wine Day (though in my book, every day should be National Red Wine Day!) It’s only two days away (Saturday, August 28th) so here are my quick picks from Amazon for serving and enjoying red, white, or sparkling wine. Cheers!
- My new favorite wine toy is this Cork Pops bottle opener (be sure to keep extra refill cartridges on hand.)
- For keeping it chilled, these are my favorites… Stainless steel for the table, double-walled vacuum-sealed Vinglace for outside, and an acrylic tub for multiple bottles.
- This VoChill personal wine chiller keeps your glass cool for up to an hour. I haven’t tried this before but I’m 100% interested.
- Another gadget I haven’t tried (but want to) is the PureWine Wand Purifier that removes histamines and sulfites without affecting the flavor. As someone who suffers from allergies and headaches, I volunteer to give it a try. I’ll report back after I test it out!
- Hand-blown crystal carafe for decanting bottles or the Swissmar Wine Finer for pouring from bottle
- Rabbit wine stoppers are great in the unlikely event you have any leftover wine.
- Wine markers for claiming your glass in a group
- Books make fantastic hostess gifts. Wine Folly: Magnum Edition is a great choice for someone who wants to expand their wine knowledge. Pick up Big Macs & Burgundy and explore fun wine pairings for everything from popcorn to Chinese take-out.
- Prevent table rings with this marble wine coaster
- Keep Wine Away stain remover on hand for any spills
- Last but not least, you’re going to need some glasses. These handblown crystal Bordeaux glasses are a great basic and come boxed if you need an easy gift. For outdoor entertaining, try these plastic glasses.
